Engineering Lead

Responsibilities:

• Lead and actively participate in software development, primarily utilizing TypeScript and Node.js.
• Collaborate with senior team members to understand emerging problems and formulate innovative solutions.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to the engineering team, ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
• Architect robust and scalable software solutions, and oversee their implementation.
• Perform code reviews to maintain high code quality standards and best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, integrating them into our development process where applicable.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide guidance to resolve them swiftly.
• Continuously optimize and improve existing software systems to enhance performance and maintainability.
• Foster a collaborative and positive working environment within the engineering team.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, translating business concepts into technical requirements

Requirements:

• Proficient in coding, with a strong foundation in TypeScript/Node.js
• Experienced in software implementation
• Solutions architect experience is a huge plus
• Capable of providing strong technical direction to our engineering team
• Collaborative problem solver, working with senior team members to devise and execute solutions to emerging challenges

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Next.js for server-side rendering
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL as a relational database
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Kubernetes
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools, like Terraform
• Understanding of application performance monitoring using tools like New Relic and Elastic Stack
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Familiarity with message queues or event-driven architectures
• Understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g., OAuth, JWT)
• Proficiency in SQL and database query optimization
• Experience with agile software development methodologies

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Php70,000.00 - Php100,000.00 per month
